More than half of these have been for plaintiffs, and most of those have settled on confidential terms.    He also recently successfully defended an attorney in a case seeking millions, securing a complete dismissal of the case that lasted five years.<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Mr. Boyd has authored published writings on attorney conduct issues, including &quot;Current Issues in Conflict of Interest Law,&quot; 53 Baylor Law Review 1 (2001).    He has given seminar speeches on attorney conduct issues more than ten times and has also been hired as an expert witness on legal malpractice three times."
